enVerid’s HVAC Load Reduction® (HLR®) products use our Sorbent Ventilation Technology® to improve indoor air quality and reduce HVAC costs in all commercial building types covered by ASHRAE Standard 62.1, the Standard for Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality. All commercial buildings excluding certain health care facilities are covered by ASHRAE 62.1.

Sorbent Ventilation Technology improves indoor air quality by removing volatile organic compounds generated by building materials, packaging, furniture, and cleaning supplies from indoor air, and by reducing the intake of outside air polluted by particulate matter and ozone from highways and airports, industrial parks, wildfires, and pollen.

enVerid’s HLR 200M and HLR 200R products are also uniquely capable of removing human-generated carbon dioxide (CO2) from indoor air.

Reduced Capital Expenditure on HVAC

By combining enVerid’s Sorbent Ventilation Technology with ASHRAE’s Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP), each HLR module delivers first cost savings of up to $25,000 by downsizing HVAC equipment by up to 20-tons of cooling load and 200 MBH of heating load. Payback periods based on HVAC energy savings for target applications range from zero to five years depending on climate zone, operating hours, energy costs, building-specific installation costs, and utility incentives.

Load Reduction and Energy Savings

By cleaning the air in buildings, indoor air can be safely recirculated. This allows outside air requirements to be reduced by up to 80% using ASHRAE’s Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP). Deploying HLR modules with ASHRAE’s IAQP can also deliver annual HVAC energy savings of up to 40%. The reduction of required outside air reduces the load on the HVAC system which enables the downsizing of new HVAC systems and saves energy, reduces carbon emissions, and extends equipment life.

enVerid offers five HLR products, all of which reduce first costs and operating costs for new and existing HVAC systems, lower a building’s energy and carbon intensity, and deliver premium indoor air quality. Superior indoor air quality is achieved by using our patented sorbent filters to remove indoor-generated contaminants and by reducing the intake of outdoor pollutants.

HLR 100Z

The HLR 100Z module provides lower HVAC costs by reducing the load on HVAC systems from outdoor air. The HLR 100Z cleans indoor air so that it can be safely recirculated, complying with ASHRAE Standard 62.1 and is easily integrated with most HVAC system designs (including VRF). The HLR 100Z is a small indoor HLR module that integrates with a wide range of zone-based HVAC systems found in offices, schools, retail and other commercial building types that fall under ASHRAE Standard 62.1. HLR 100C

The HLR 100C uses enVerid’s Sorbent Ventilation Technology® to remove VOCs and other contaminants from indoor air so that it can be safely recirculated. HLR 100C modules are integrated with packaged rooftop HVAC equipment by installing them inside standard roof curbs. HLR 100C Modules can also be integrated into AHU/RTU cabinets. By cleaning recirculated air, the HLR 100C enables packaged RTU systems and AHUs/RTUs to be replaced with smaller tonnage systems which cost less and consume less energy.

HLR 100M

The HLR 100M is a small indoor HLR module designed to easily integrate with a wide range of central or zone-based HVAC systems while delivering significant cost savings. Named HVAC Product of the Year in 2021 by the readers of Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine, the HLR 100M removes all the contaminants of concern from indoor air so that it can be safely recirculated. HLR 200M

HLR 200R
