Westwood, MA – Jan. 28, 2021 – enVerid Systems, a leading provider of indoor air quality solutions, congratulates Dr. Marwa Zaatari on her election to the board of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
According to the USGBC, the slate of 2021 Board of Directors were selected with the organization’s new vision in mind: “healthy people in healthy places equals a healthy economy.” The USGBC members ratified the slate of directors in late December, and the new board was announced on Jan. 13th.
“Marwa is a highly respected indoor air quality (IAQ) expert,” said Christian Weeks, CEO of enVerid Systems. “As a colleague of ours, we are well acquainted with the passion and energy she brings to ensuring the built environment prioritizes IAQ in a smart, sustainable way. We know that Marwa will be an outstanding contributor to the USGBC board, and we applaud the USGBC members for their sage selection.”
Dr. Zaatari, Chief Science Officer at Dzine Partners, also serves as an advisor to enVerid. She recently contributed to the creation of the enVerid COVID-19 Energy Estimator, an important tool to help building owners, mechanical engineers, and facility managers assess various HVAC strategies for reopening buildings safely. The free and open source enVerid Energy Estimator has been commended for its usefulness in evaluating the risk, costs, and carbon impacts of different ventilation and filtration mitigation approaches.
